Attila Harangozó is the new vice-president of the National Office for the Judiciary

President of the Republic János Áder appointed Attila Harangozó as vice-president of the National Office for the Judiciary (NOJ) on 6 February 2020.
Attila Harangozó has been serving in the judiciary since 1997, was appointed as judge to the Vác District Court in 2000. As a criminal judge he was sitting at the Szeged District Court from 2001 and from 2003 at the Csongrád Regional Court. He served as President of the Szeged District Court from 2003 to 2005, and from 2005 to 2012 as judge at the Szeged Regional Court of Appeal.
In 2012, he was first appointed by the President of the NOJ as head of the Criminal Chamber of the Szeged Regional Court of Appeal, later as President of the Court of Appeal. Since 2018 he worked as head of a judicial panel at the Szeged Regional Court of Appeal.
Since 1996 he has been a lecturer at the Faculty of Law at the University of Szeged, currently a honorary docent.
